A Robin in my 'Hood
As I was picking up my bass this morning I looked out the window and saw a robin sunning himself against the back wall of the Cinderblock Chalet. He's all puffed out. I've never seen such a plump robin before!
"Whatchu lookin' at?"
And then I was almost all the way back home from my rehearsal when I suddenly saw a man in a oilcloth duster riding a black steed down New Hampshire Avenue. The day is still young - who knows what I'll see next? Have a great weekend!
If I had a horse, New Hampshire Ave is probably not where I'd ride it. I need to get out today. All I've seen today is a bunch of laundry and a vacuum.
I've never seen a civilian on a horse in DC; just park police. Crazy!
I only saw a statue I'd never noticed before, a man standing atop a flying lion outside the Embassy of Kazakhstan. I'm not sure how I've missed it all of this time. It's unique. Wish I'd remembered my camera...
Kristin - that was out on the far reaches of NH Ave, but still not exactly horse appropriate. I'm going to have to go looking for that statue - that sound pretty cool!

Mike - I definitely know how that feels!

Wow is that bird using PEDs?
That is one fat bird, especially considering the scarcity of food over the past few weeks.
Dmbosstone - PEDs? um sure, except I don't know what PEDs are.
Barbara - Later in the afternoon there were about twenty of them in my "other" backyard gorging themselves on holly berries.
I love that robin!
