Buzzards
We are having another dreary, depressing, and overly moist September day. Even the birds look gloomy. I guess those buzzards are just sitting up there in that tree waiting for roadkill to happen.
I know --- that's just what buzzards do. They keep our highways clean. Clean from the all the deer who come and eat all of my supposedly deer-resistant liriope flowers and then go out and get themselves hit by cars. It's the circle of life! I wish they would just stick to eating apples in the backyard. It's a lot safer back there.
You are right Kate! I just watched it again on Youtube - those British Buzzards do seem to be loosely based on the Beatles, but their version of "That's What Friends Are For" is kind of more barber shop quartet style. An interestingly random mix.

My father used to say "Even rats have to eat." I guess "Even buzzards have to eat." Gross, though it is, they're just doing their thing.

It has been a gloomy month, hasn't it? I've enjoyed a little sunshine the past couple of days.
That picture really captures the mood of the season as it continues to drizzle and turn cold.
Kristen and Barbara - Yeah, a gloomy picture for a gloomy month. I'm glad all that rain seems to be finished, and it's even warming up a bit!
Did you ever see The Jungle Book? (Disney animated version I mean)
Those buzzards in the tree remind me of the vultures (who were some version of The '60s Beatles)
Okay - that was random...
