The Friendly Goats of Wright's Market

One of my favorite things to do on the way home from the beach is to stop and visit the very friendly goats at Wright's Market.

They love to be petted.

Love it!

They get so sad when you stop.  But we wanted to go visit the other goats and the giant steer.  They all dashed over from the other side of the pen to greet us.

Watch the stampede!  Here they come!

The steer is very sociable.  When you say hello to him he says hello back.

Isn't he handsome?  And he has his very own mini-me too except that this one happens to be a goat mini-me.

After we did a little shopping and got some fresh homemade ice cream we saw that we weren't the only ones who were having a treat.

                                                    Yummy cantaloupe!

Yum Yum Yum ! ! !

What adorable animals! They are enough to make me a vegetarian. It's great you take the time to stop and look and listen!

Lacochran - they are charming, and so affectionate!

Barbara - Well you could just stop eating all that goat meat for starters, hahaha - just kidding!

I often think about "my" goats when I have goat cheese and I always thank them.

Aww thanks, Reya! Yes he did say hello. And I'm just now saying hello to my poor neglected blog after more than a year.
