I love this tree - it is beautiful at all times of the year. Today it looked like it was decorated with cotton.
This afternoon and evening I played two performances at a church in Glen Burnie. The show was sort of a 1940s Radio Hour meets church Christmas musical kind of thing - a very nice production with a large cast, big band, and string section.
And when I got home tonight this little rabbit was waiting for me under the magnolia tree.

Nice pictures. The wet, heavy snow makes for some good shots.
I love spotting rabbits. No idea why. They just make me hopeful.
wv: humper. As in what rabbits do best?
Mine, either. But when you put it that way... ;-)
Your photos are exquisite! Wow. Capitol Hill was not so beautiful, so thanks for sharing.
And thank you, too, for playing your bass, for helping put music out into the world. It's a force for good.
Gorgeous. You take the best pics.
Mike - Yes, the snow was quite photogenic.
LA - Me too, and for me I think it's because so many books I read as a kid featured rabbits as the main characters. I still believe in rabbits. Do you think Thumper's name was an abbreviation of The Humper, ie T'humper? I'm sorry I'm so weird.
Lilu - the main thing I enjoyed about my winters down south during college was the warmer temperatures.
Reya - Thank you, we got a little more snow out here. I'll look forward to seeing some Capitol Hill snow shots from you later this winter hopefully.
Kristin - Thanks, I get lucky sometimes. And having a camera makes it easier to prolong the moment.
Glad you're getting a chance to play that really great music.
You're going to miss that tree (and the rabbit) when you move back into the foam-core fantasy.
Barbara - I'd have to say that the music is my favorite thing about this time of year. This week I'll be playing some jazzed-up Christmas carols for a few parties, and I'm playing the Messiah this weekend.
There are plenty of rabbits over at my real house, or Doug's fantasy house, or whatever it is.
