Cyndy's House of Vulture
In other news, there's a dead raccoon out in the road by the house where we are currently living. And a few live vultures. And Thursday will not get here soon enough! Later....
Barbara - The house certainly had a different "aura" with a vulture sitting on top of it.
LiLu - yeah vultures are definately creepy - and huge.
Cube - I've been noticing unusually large quantities of them around here for the past year or so. They are usually so high up in the trees that you can't tell how big they are. I wonder if their population has increased because of all deer that keep getting hit by cars.
Dmbosstone - yeah but your bird is probably a lot cuter!
Jonathan - okay this is getting kind of disgusting now. The raccoon lay there relatively undisturbed for three or four days. His tail made me think of Davy Crockett. Some unknown raccoon eating activity occurred on Friday. There was a bone sticking up from the carcass. I guess it was still too fresh for the vultures because they didn't show up until Saturday. As of today there is a wad of fur lying in the gutter and no bones. Do vultures eat bones? Okay I have officially grossed myself out.
Dmbosstone - taking a video of a crow outside of your office window is exactly the kind of thing I would do. I've got a tiny bit of a soft spot for crows because when I was a kid we had a pet crow named "Crowso." At least your crow didn't seem to make too much noise.
Bozoette - they do look like undertakers. I'd never actually seen the face of one that close before.
My paper is due in about 18 hours so I'm going to have to ignore any further comments for at least that long. Later....
Foxy - I've noticed an increasing number in my neck of the woods for the last year and a half or so. Cube thinks it's because of all the the zombies running around. Have you seen any of them?

Sounds like a haunted house story.
When we were in Costa Rica, vultures were roaming EVERYWHERE, like chickens... it was so creepy! They're huge!
I thought I had been seeing vultures around town and thought, "Naaah."
Way better than the bird that sits outside my 9th floor office window.

Did the vultures end up eating the dead raccoon? I'm not a big fan of raccoons, so it wouldn't be a great loss.
Um not so much:

Ah, nature's garbage collectors! They look like wrinkled up undertakers...

I think there are more vultures, because there are more ZOMBIES around.
Well I certainly feel like a zombie pretty often these days so maybe that's why they were my yard. The raccoon was just dessert.
Whoa... I've never seen a vulture anywhere around DC. Creepy men, women, and squirrels, yes. Vultures, never.

Best vultures ever: THE JUNGLE BOOK!
Fool - I hadn't seen that before so I looked on YouTube. Those vultures are great!
Cube - I've killed my brain, so the zombie is next. It's probably hiding in a pile of green dust somewhere.
