What is it, Groundhog Day?

It's nearly cold enough to be. And this groundhog most certainly did not see his shadow. We were working outside all day today and it felt like February to me - all dark and dreary. I'm especially not looking forward to winter this year if it's starting out like this.

Picture me helping my friend Velvet try to adopt out 28 dogs at the PetSmart at Potomac Yard in VA. Strangely enough, I got the date wrong, but they were there today because they got booted out of Connecticut early -- long story. Anyway, I walked lots of dogs in the rain but didn't bring one home to keep Jake company, probably because the two dogs and I would have gotten kicked out if I had! :)

Good for you helping with the dogs in the rain. We had a lazy Saturday since we couldn't work - slept in, ate lunch at the Amish Market, got massages at Wheaton Plaza, and then did our gigs. That's the way life should be! Yesterday (Friday) was another story - freezing! The ground hog thought it was February.

Oh, I love groundhogs. Sad thing is, I keep seeing them along the roads here. They seem to be a fan of crossing in rush hour, poor things...
