That sounds delicious! That must have been fun gathering those gigantic green balls, know how they'd end up in that cake.

Kristin - Yeah, he was totally psyched, and it was a nice little trip.

Kate - Thanks. The light was pretty amazing at that time of day. The walnuts were so bright that they sort of looked like giant peas.Cyndyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11787927933858782267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6906849261938947265.post-80603053396939900512009-10-07T10:28:29.254-04:002009-10-07T10:28:29.254-04:00I love that last shot. Of course, they leave your fingers terribly stained. I haven't had black walnut cake in a long, long time.Washington Cubehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02892459114050731786noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6906849261938947265.post-2999473519911363422009-10-02T02:34:58.362-04:002009-10-02T02:34:58.362-04:00Mike - I've only ever noticed black walnuts sm...Mike - I've only ever noticed black walnuts smashed up on the ground, or when I trip over one. It was cool to see a whole tree full of them.

Lilu - Yeah, haha, it's cute all right. I've been pretty amazed at some of the things he's chosen to have an opinion about.

Barbara - Yes that was a pretty bloody battle. The fans were the last things we needed to "pick out" for our house, that I know of. But we still have at least a month of hard work ahead of us.Cyndyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11787927933858782267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6906849261938947265.post-31683376030298116852009-10-01T21:59:14.302-04:002009-10-01T21:59:14.302-04:00It's hard to imagine such a beautiful field li...It's hard to imagine such a beautiful field littered with bleeding soldiers on both sides of the battle, isn't it?

I'm glad you got your fan. I've been known to impatiently drive great distances to get something, so I can sympathize. Looks like you're finding more cool cloud photo-ops. I wouldn't have been able to identify that as a Black Walnut tree - I guess I'm used to seeing the nuts after they've dried out.Bowie Mikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09656054601003840365noreply@blogger.com
