But it's been a while so I could be mistaken about the flower color.Cyndyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11787927933858782267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6906849261938947265.post-78580664744944859022009-11-25T14:45:40.827-05:002009-11-25T14:45:40.827-05:00Great shot of the columsn. The bark, or the lack there of, is fascinating. Are the flowers you have pictured coming from the tree trunk in this shot? <br />The downed tree does look like a dragon or something crossing the road. Great shots.Brother Without Orderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11907615698103709978noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6906849261938947265.post-81990445057484902902009-04-16T22:41:00.000-04:002009-04-16T22:41:00.000-04:00I just now saw your comment! You are lucky to live so close to the Arboretum. I live near Brookside Gardens, but it is tiny by comparison. We still haven't planted any crape myrtles yet. Maybe that will happen later this year.Cyndyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11787927933858782267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6906849261938947265.post-10016490487178623692009-01-12T08:56:00.000-05:002009-01-12T08:56:00.000-05:00I love your photos. I count myself lucky to live only two miles from the arboretum and I go there quite a bit. It's a great place to walk, jog (when my knees were younger), and bike. There's always something going on with the plant life there, even now in the dead of winter when you'd think everything was all shriveled up and dead. What a fascinating place!A Concerned Citizenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10775285447324189098noreply@blogger.com
