Stink Bugs in my Bass

Wasn't it a gorgeously beautiful day today? The weather was perfect. But then I had an outdoor wedding gig and two stink bugs crawled inside my bass right in the middle of Pachelbel's Canon. They are probably still in there because I did not see them crawl back out. So what am I supposed to do now? I don't want stink bugs in my bass. It's disgusting. I really don't want my bass to smell like stink bugs!

Ew!

It is definitely a stinkbugapalooza year.

Ideas? I got nothin'...

Although I've seen plenty of stink bugs around lately, I can't really say that I've actually ever smelled one. Hopefully my luck will hold out!

The best way to experience the "stink" in stink bug is to pick one up, let it squirm momentarily, and then toss it away. Then sniff your fingers. Stinky! (Please don't ask me how I know this.)

Stink bugs are everywhere these days. I found one in my beans the other night (while I was eating them)!

Ooooh, nasty! I hope they don't die in there. Maybe you can put a little mirror on a string and drop it through those curly holes so you can look around. I'm not sure how you would lure them out if they have taken up residence. Good luck with de-stinking the bass.

Bozoette - I think I'll skip that since you've apparently already tried it, hahaha!

Gary - I'm glad you saw it before it went in your mouth! They've been hanging around my door, but I don't think any have gotten in - until today.

Barbara - I took my bass out of its case today and one had already made it out of the bass. It flew off before I could catch it so now I have at least one stink bug in my house that I know of. I really wish I'd taken the case off outside. But so far, my bass has no stink bug smell in it whatsoever. Hopefully the other one will crawl out sometime today.

They're crazy all over the place, aren't they? I'm so sorry!

Kristin - I think I lucked out. I left my bass out of the case for a few days so that they would hopefully crawl out. I know at least one of them did. There's no smell, so I'm not going to worry about it anymore.
